Westword – 16th Street Mall

This cover illustration, for the Westword here in Denver, goes along with an article about how the 16th street mall is celebrating its 30th year existing. For those of you not familiar with Denver, the 16th street mall is is a pedestrian promenade that runs through the center of Downtown and is lined with outdoor cafes, historic buildings, skyscrapers, shops, restaurants, and retail stores. A free shuttle runs the length of it, that pedestrians have had varying degrees of success with over the years (see http://bit.ly/PkzUzP). The mall also never seems to be lacking good people watching, with plenty of eccentric and sometimes illicit things going down. Here’s to you, 16th street mall: keep on keepin’ on.
