Purdue Alumnus – Effects of Aging

These illustrations for the Purdue Alumnus on are for an article that looks into why some people live longer, healthier lives than others and looks to unravel the mystery of longevity and the secret to aging gracefully.

The article starts off with a quote from Mick Jagger, “I’d rather be dead than singing Satisfaction when I’m 45.” So the image of an aging rocker pondering his own mortality while looking over his own birthday cake is what we ended up settling on.

This spot illustration goes along with a part of the article that noted that people with multiple health issues (such a diabetes and another disease) are far more likely to develop heart disease and have more major complications as they age.

This last illustration went next to a section that talked about how living into old age has a lot to do with random chance.
